The customer base includes supermarkets, mass merchants, warehouse clubs, convenience stores, drug stores, and food service. As a Maintenance Technician, you will report to a Maintenance Supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform preventive/predictive Maintenance per requirements and perform non-scheduled or emergency services when required to support store operations.

Analyze and solve minor electrical, carpentry, refrigeration, mechanical and plumbing problems.

Participate and perform on an as needed basis remodeling, or other repair and Maintenance activities such as painting, carpentry, caulking and sealing and like tasks as assigned.

Maintain inventory of material and repair parts for commissary equipment to ensure proper Maintenance and services are accomplished in a timely manner.

Maintain work area and equipment in clean, orderly and safe condition.

Make recommendations to modify or replace equipment when necessary to insure value of customer costs or/and improve efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 2 years experience is preferred in Building Maintenance.

Basic knowledge and experience with refrigeration, HVAC, electrical systems, simple controls, plumbing and mechanical systems and facility type repairs is required.

Ability to read, comprehend and work from technical documents.

Strong problem solving and decision making skills.

Base pay = $25.85

Raise structure: To progress to the next tier, skills-based assessments will be utilized to evaluate how you are performing and the skills/knowledge that you possess. You will be paired with a mentor and you two will work together to build your skills and evaluate your performance in each skill area. This will determine when you are eligible to move up to the next tier. There are 3 tiers and each tier represents specific skills that an employee needs to have. Tier 1 = $25.85, Tier 2 = $26.85, and Tier 3 = $30.85. When you reach Tier 3, there is also an opportunity to become a mentor which would also include a $2/hr pay raise. Thus, the top of the pay grade is $32.85.
