What You'll Get To Do:

Assist with Warehouse issues and review Inventory issues:

  • Identifies shortages based on current inventory and forecasts to take appropriate action to ensure product on specific shipments are tracked with PLNA, Panasonic Logistics North America, to ensure product arrives as required to meet Customer shipments.
  • Prioritizes receiving schedule with warehouse so customer requirements can be met.
  • Develops and manages effective relationships with MRP, warehouse personnel and internal departments.
  • Responsible for tracing inbound freight to receipt. Resolves delivery and receiving problems with warehouse as needed.
  • Work with warehouse to develop business plans for container management and space utilization.
  • Monitors factory confirmations and shipments. Reviews factory monitor, and in-transit reports to ensure data integrity.
  • Evaluates MRP, Material Requirement Planning, results and responds appropriately to meet inventory requirements.

Identify Process flow improvements:

  • Identifies process improvements related to current or potential procedures. Once identified, works to put action plans together and brings ideas to fruition.
  • ZMNET Track and Trace Enhancements, including metrics that make sense to gauge transportation conditions, empirical rule for transit, milestone studies, etc.
  • Power BI and Microsoft Teams integration.
  • Transportation Network Monitoring, JOC, Tradewinds, Seabury, FMC, MXOCAL, etc.

Track and Trace:

  • Identify and report Transmission errors.
  • Folder creation and Customs follow up.
  • OD Pair transit time analysis, upon request from MRP.
  • Monitor for Port Pick up.
  • At Risk Shipment follow up, MRP Specific.
  • T and T Report Generation.

Drayage activities:

  • Work with Planner to assign drayage carrier for loads available to be picked up from port and rail.
  • Work with drayage carriers for the following, ensure that the containers are picked up within the necessary Free Time to eliminate Demurrage charges, escalate Pick Up Issues, work with chassis issues, monitor Port congestion, and review missed appointments reasons.
  • Review issues and create an action plan to reduce and eliminate problems for future moves.
  • Review return containers for timeliness.
  • Ensure that all containers are picked up from the warehouse and returned to the port within the Free Time allowed by the carriers and rail.
  • If necessary, work with the warehouse and drayage carrier to expedite empty containers back to the port to eliminate any additional detention charges.
  • May participate in analyzing carrier performance to be able to provide data to management on carrier’s meeting and not meeting business plan targets.
  • Expedites deliveries and conducts follow ups when necessary.

What You'll Bring:

Education and Experience:

  • College degree required with preference for business and logistics related fields.
  • 2 years of experience in logistics and, or supply chain environment preferred.

Competencies:

  • Strong problem solving ability
  • Effective communication across both verbal and written formats
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate analytical data
  • Must be able to analyze and breakdown data and information to identify root cause and develop appropriate countermeasures
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Windows based databases as appropriate to the position and assignment.

Communications:

  • Reports to immediate manager for direction and input
  • Communicates with other import and export team members to coordinate and facilitate processing as needed
  • Communicates with business units contacts and IT team to help uncover and address pending items
  • Coordinate with external parties such as track and trace team and origin logistics group for support as needed

Other Requirements:

  • Approximately 10 percent travel may be required, domestic and international

The salary range of $85,000 – 127,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.
