The IT Disaster Recovery Architect will work directly with our clients and internal teams to assess and design disaster recovery programs that meets the needs of our client requirements. The ideal candidate is a technologist with robust understanding of enterprise-scale infrastructure, technologies and applications, with a passion for Business and Cyber Resiliency as well as IT Disaster Recovery. Secure cloud initiatives are and will continue to be important part of our client's IT strategy, so understanding of cloud resiliency, infrastructure, cyber security and business continuity are a must. Candidates with specific IT Disaster Recovery and Business Resiliency experience are preferred.

Role and Responsibilities

·         Develop, maintain, and implement business continuity, crisis management, disaster recovery strategies and solutions, including risk assessments, business impact analysis, strategy selection, and documentation of BC and DR procedures.

·         Plan, conduct, and debrief regular mock-disaster exercises to test the adequacy of existing plans and strategies, updating procedures and plans regularly.

·         Analyze impact on, and risk to, essential business functions or information systems to identify acceptable recovery time periods and resource requirements.

·         Analyze corporate intelligence data to identify trends, patterns, or warnings indicating threats to security of people, assets, information, or infrastructure.

·         Create or administer training and awareness presentations or materials such as scenarios to re-establish operations from various types of business disruptions.

·         Involved in building Cyber Resilience strategies and driving transformation for clients

·         Identify opportunities for strategic improvement or mitigation of business interruption and other risks caused by business, regulatory, or industry-specific change initiatives.

·         Develop IT Incident Response Plans to help IT staff detect, respond to, and recover from network security incidents such as cyber crime, data loss, and service outages.

·         Develop IT Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) to document plans and procedures required to mitigate potential impacts and restore normal operations to organizations impacted by human-caused or natural outages or disasters.

·         Develop IT Disaster Resolution strategies, solution, plans and exercise.

·         Build IT Disaster recovery solution with 3rd parties and Cloud services.

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelors Degree required.

5+ years of experience in IT disaster recovery, IT project management, engineering, or architecture

 

Skills

·         Strong understating of enterprise-scale infrastructure, technologies and applications

·         Cloud technology DR services implementation and migrations

·         Working knowledge of data center recovery technologies (network, storage, database, server)

·         Understanding of disaster recovery tools, standards, and best practices

·         Excellent project management, planning and organizational skills

·         Ability to deliver results while working with remote, virtual, and cross-functional teams without direct authority

·         Strong written and verbal communications skills

·         Proven ability to prioritize multiple, complex tasks and to work under stressful conditions with multiple directives
