Essential Job Functions

  • Communicate with end-users to test, troubleshoot, and diagnose computer hardware and software failures
  • Efficiently and concisely document customer support calls
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting functions with the assistance of information in the form of written or verbal descriptions/diagrams 
  • Perform data input of required material
  • Provide Broadcast phone support for creation of projector repair orders  
  • Perform quality inspections for all completed processes
  • Provide feedback to supervisors of any observed trends or unusual failure conditions
  • Miscellaneous daily tasks including deployment support and/or clean-up activities 
  • Perform cable installation, including new commercial data, label, pull and terminate cables
  • Assist in batch file creation and maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned


  • AA/AS degree in electronics. In lieu of degree, must have 2 years related experience.
  • Experience or support of software product/solution is preferred.
  • Experience in computer troubleshooting and repair, down to the subassembly level, including but not limited to the removal and replacement of hard drives, memory, modems, motherboards, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows Operating Systems 
  • Working knowledge of general IP networking 
  • Must possess good organizational, decision-making, and logical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and technical manuals
  • Effective communication/telephone skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to learn new applications and programs
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds to a height of 5 feet
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • A+ Certification a plus
