Hardware Engineering Summer Intern – APD Seats

Panasonic Avionics Corporation is seeking motivated Hardware Engineering Interns to join our growing Hardware Engineering team in our Irvine, CA office.  This paid internship will start in June and continue through August 2023 with an opportunity to potentially continue through the school year. 


How you will spend your summer:  

Interns will be paired with an experienced design engineer and will be assigned meaningful design tasks to expose them to Panasonic Avionics Advance Product Development business.

Tasks will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Perform qualitative and quantitative tests to determine properties, characteristics, and performance of materials, circuits, mechanisms, assemblies and systems.
  • Participate in the design and development of electronic circuits and assemblies.
  • Record and analyze test data. Select hardware and material assuring compliance with specifications and product requirements.
  • Apply standard mathematical and hands-on techniques, procedures and criteria to engineering assignments.
  • Learn to use professional concepts and applies company policies and procedures to resolve basic and routine issues.


What you bring to the internship:

  • Current student pursuing a bachelor’s degree who will be a Junior or Senior in Fall 2023
  • Preferably Juniors or Graduate students pursuing Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) degree
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others, take verbal as well as written instructions and communicate instructions as needed.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbally to all levels of the organization as well as external customers.
  • Generally applies existing practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
