The Position:

Join a dynamic engineering team developing the next generation of In-Flight Entertainment and Communication (IFEC) systems. You will be responsible for developing new, cutting-edge IFEC products. As part of this job, you will be responsible for the board-level design, test, and documentation of new products. You will be expected to provide leadership to more junior members of the engineering staff.

Other focus areas:

  • Design and develop electronic circuits and PCB assemblies.
  • Knowledge of multiple high-speed interfaces. (PCIe, Ethernet, M.2, DDR4 or equivalents).
  • PLD, FPGA, and DSP design.
  • Design of DC-DC converters.

Strong emphasis on:

  • Digital design and analysis.
  • Performing qualitative and quantitative tests to determine properties, characteristics, and the performance of materials, circuits, mechanisms, assemblies, and systems.
  • Design and development of electronic circuits and board assemblies.
    Analysis of test data.
  • Select hardware and material assuring compliance with specifications and product requirements.
  • Verify embedded firmware and higher-level software functionality of the product.
  • Ability to apply problem-solving methods to assure compliance with all product requirements.

What we are looking for:

  • Ability to develop requirements from specifications, oral instructions, or preliminary sketches.
  • Ability to lead the analysis and design of electronic circuits, as well as the implementation of test methods and procedures.
  • Proven ability to prepare technical reports and documentation.
  • Ability to resolve a wide range of design challenges.
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (MS in Electrical Engineering preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in areas such as higher mathematics, electronics, and circuit design.
  • Hands-on experience with digital or analog simulators.
  • Three or more years of experience with the following:
    • Microprocessor-based designs.
    • Design using high-speed interfaces – Ethernet, PCIE, or DDR4 interfaces, for example.
    • Direct experience with DSP or FPGA/PLD design tools.
    • Power conversion – DC-DC converters.


    • Ability to travel to Japan and other domestic and international locations as required approximately 5% of the time
