What You'll Get To Do:
- Research best practices across the ED
- Create and implement those best practices and develop materials for staff training
- Create, Modify, and Review processes and procedures across ED
- Create and review department budgets. Suggest improvements to drive efficiencies across the ED
- Create and develop an organization plan - department - that will meet the needs of achieving ED’s Mid-Term Plan without significantly increasing headcount. Implement strategies that introduce automation and enhanced efficiencies for the team
- Liaison of ED for Japan trading team, pursue strategic efficiency improvement of all business trade structures
- Strengthen ED’s supply chains by developing and nominating best routing options via trade lanes
- Create optimum business schemes for strategic business solutions based on sales volumes
- Enhance cost effectiveness by developing a program to determine the best 3PL providers for ED’s business strategies
- Review business trading terms with existing customers. Design and implement trading terms with new customers
- Optimize trade routes for merchandise business
- Drive localization sourcing efforts collaborating with local and overseas personnel
- Manage all 3PL - domestic and international - and business operational performance metrics
- Oversee all warehouses - domestic and international - containing ED merchandise
- Responsible to schedule physical inventory audits at those warehouses
- Create audit reports and submit to accounting department
- Review on-time shipping reports with the goal of minimizing transit times to customers
- Using customer satisfaction surveys develop or enhance programs to drive customer satisfaction
- Support ED with other metrics upon request
Group Manager to the following departments and/or functions in coordination with Operations Director - co-manage:
- Operations
- Pricing and SAP
- Administration - office management, ISM reporting, EOS, training, etc.
- Data Control and DX
- Legal Support
- Logistics Strategy
What You'll Bring:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree with MBA desirable
- 15+ years of experience
- A senior person who will be able to recruit, grow, and manage a much larger team is required
- Sales operations experience in solutions / enterprise systems organizations
- Strong leadership skills, especially with senior solution sales members - each with 15 - 20-years+ experience - and established sales companies and channels • SAP experience required
- Manufacturing experience is desirable but not mandatory
- Additional languages desirable
- position is located in The Colony, Texas.
Competencies:
- Strong process orientation and familiarity with sales metrics and processes is critical
- Effective collaboration skills required when working across ED as well as internally with multiple departments
Communications:
- Communication with principals at Customers, Panasonic Sales Companies and Panasonic Factories
- Significant negotiation and persuasion regularly required Other Requirements e.g., working conditions, physical requirements, travel, etc.
- Up to 25% travel may be required to visit key customers, factories, vendors, or warehouses
