Facilities Engineering Supervisor

The Supervisor will lead the engineering support of the ongoing site operations, improvements, and facility expansions at Panasonic. Additionally, the Supervisor can combine leadership skills, engineering management experience, business acumen, communications, and passion to extend an organization from a vibrant start-up workplace into a burgeoning lithium-ion battery cell industry. Furthermore, the Supervisor
acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Essential Duties:
• Supporting design and installation of facility systems composed of HVAC, dry room/ dehumidifier, wastewater, electrical, fire/life safety systems and associated equipment
• Develop, implement, and update a work plan for the Facilities Engineering unit, including assignment of projects, establishment of and monitoring of progress
• Utilize HPC tools to coach and develop the team with identification and support of growth edges
• Supervise Facility Engineers and BIM Designers by assigning tasks and supporting and monitoring compliance with project and operations parameters
• Oversee energy conservation efforts for facilities systems and site initiatives
• Oversee system performance, capacity and reliability improvements across various disciplines including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Controls
• Working with planning and construction units, oversee the implementation of capital projects, from initial approval through design, bidding, construction, and project close-out
• Review and recommend actions to continually improve performance of the team about safety, quality, cost, delivery, and people
• Participate in the development of project scopes, costs, and schedules for the annual capital improvement plan
• Direct supervision and/or influence of a department involving responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods, and personnel
• Responsible for carrying out supervisory and managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws

• Responsibilities include interviewing and hiring of employees; planning, assigning, scheduling, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
• To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a possibility and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
• Basic: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

Essential Qualifications:
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in a facility engineering role, including managing teams
• Industrial and/or commercial experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
• Comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex project documents, including AutoCAD, Visio, and PDF documents
• Knowledge of relevant engineering principles and methods of construction
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations
• Lean Six Sigma, 5S, and continuous process improvement experience
• Problem solving skills and close attention to detail
• Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
