As a member of the Design Engineering Team, this candidate designer will apply engineering best practices to develop supporting documents and programs for the design engineering team. The Engineering Business Systems Analyst is responsible for creating new supporting software programs and maintaining existing software programs and systems currently in use. The Engineering Business System Analyst will actively work with design engineers, application engineers, IT, marketing and manufacturing to solicit and gather pertaining information in the Creation/Modification of the software programs and solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop supporting documents and new programs for the design engineering team based on the demand of existing and new applications.
- Maintain existing programs and software currently in use.
- Solicit and gather pertaining information in the creation of the new software programs and maintain existing software programs.
- Work with vendors, application, and Engineering to collect data pertaining to engineering components & systems
Requirements:
- High School or Equivalent. Bachelor's Degree preferred. 2+ years with degree and 5 + years w/o Degree
- Experience in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Excel Formulas and Macros
- Experience in developing tables and queries in SQL and programming in VBA/VB.net environment
- Experience in writing scripted logic in VB or equivalent language to develop Engineering Software Applications
- Ability to perform Production Support of Business-critical Processes & Systems
- Good customer service, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Good ability work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Skill:
- General knowledge of Software Development Process, DBS (Database Management System) and Business Systems.
- Understanding of PLM concepts, use of any PLM system
- Exposure to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
- Participate in IT and business projects to contribute to the development of database and reporting requirements
- Implement Solution Strategies to support Engineering processes that use various Engineering and Business system inputs/outputs
- Programming in SIEMENS RULESTREAM Software System
