The Director of Talent Acquisition will define and drive Hussmann’s global talent acquisition strategy to support the corporation; will lead the development and implementation of strategic talent acquisition tactics, and lead the evaluation of the TA function, strategies, and procedures to find opportunities for improvement.  The Director will provide leadership, support and develop the talent acquisition strategy while building the recruiting infrastructure to support the firm’s continued growth. The TA Director will lead a team of 5-7 talent acquisition specialists, and will report to the SVP of HR as a member of the company’s senior HR Leadership Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic talent acquisition initiatives to address business needs
  • Key experience in recruitment marketing and social recruiting experience.
  • Lead a team responsible for establishing and sustaining Hussmann as a “top of mind” employer of choice in markets around the world.
  • Develop and oversee the social media recruiting process and lead consumer research to define candidate personas. Applies insights to make decisions regarding brand direction.
  • Define and effectively communicate Panasonic’s value proposition within the company, as well as to the external employment market, e.g. GlassDoor, LinkedIn, job descriptions, career site, etc.
  • Develop and create an effective pipeline and sourcing strategies which should include social sourcing, internal talent movement, partnerships with critical schools and universities, etc., that will generate qualified and diverse talent.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and motivation to the talent acquisition team.
  • Develop and implement a diversity talent acquisition strategy.
  • Develop education and training to enable hiring managers and teams to attract and hire talent.
  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers to understand business needs.
  • Collaborates with a variety of internal colleagues including HR Generalists, internal and external marketing and communications teams, and training and organizational development team to build a cohesive, consistent methodology in Hussmann’s approach to talent acquisition initiatives
  • Deliver best-in-class Candidate and Hiring Manager experiences Develop education and training to enable hiring managers and teams to attract and hire talent.
  • Optimize talent acquisition processes through technology solutions- both internal and external.
  • Develop strong measurements and metrics to assess, manage and optimize the talent acquisition team performance and direction
  • Develop, track and analyze acquisition metrics to inform decisions and ongoing process improvements.
  • Interacts successfully with an empowered Management Team
  • Partners with Panasonic North America and other Panasonic owned North American companies to collaborate on strategy and execution. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years in Talent Acquisition function & 5+ years in a leadership role building and leading recruiting team
  • Experience building strategic brand initiatives across multiple platforms, specifically recruitment marketing and social recruitment efforts.
  • Experience building Diversity pipelines and aligning with organizational strategy.
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, interviewing and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Prior knowledge of state and federal employment laws applicable to the hiring of employees, including affirmative action and equal employment opportunity requirements.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, and recruiting sources, including, job boards, social media, events, networking, publications, industry groups/associations, universities, and job fairs.
  • Experience managing full cycle talent acquisition initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster long term relationships.
  • Able to effectively influence stakeholders
  • Strategic partner experience at the executive level
