The Corporate Quality Manager will develop and support the quality improvement efforts across all Hussmann, CIG and CRD sites. Continually improve customer satisfaction with respect to quality, cost and delivery. Lead and manage continuous improvement as well as process improvement initiatives and teams. Maintain Ownership of Hussmann’s Quality Management System and its configuration. Analyze and solve quality and reliability problems and ensure execution and sustainment of corrective actions. Responsible for directing employees in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Supplier Quality & Development (SQE). Provide oversite and coaching on ISO 9001 Compliance for all sites. Lead various departments (manufacturing, engineering, quality engineering, product management, field service and warranty) in resolving daily challenges internally as they pertain to product quality, new product introduction and timely deliveries for our customers using 8 step problem solving & Lean Six Sigma tools & practices. Lead and mentor plant quality managers and quality engineering personnel to increase capacity and responsibility. Share customer feedback on the quality of our products and services with key manufacturing and service leaders and participate in finding rapid and effective solutions to any areas of deficiency. Ensure organizational adherence to manufacturing best practices and standardization.

Serve as an escalation point for plant quality teams when they are not able to resolve quality issues effectively or efficiently.  Provide reporting support to the Chief Quality Officer for Monthly Operations Reviews, COPQ Tracking, Annual Operating Plan, etc.

Strategize and collaborate with other departments to ensure timely completion of all objectives and milestones, including manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, product management and operational excellence.  Drive risk analysis and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems.

Maintain the Hussmann Quality Manual, Global Supplier Quality Manual, processes, and procedures (a quality matrix) to collect data and evaluate proactive corrective measures.  Continually improve these processes is required to increase Hussmann's market share and support Hussmann's annual operating plans.

Develop a proactive quality team supporting the development of team members.  Develop and articulate goals and expectations and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.  Provide positive motivation and increase customer focus and defect prevention mindset.  Provide leadership and guidance to the APQP Team, Supplier Quality Team, and plant quality teams by breaking down barriers, providing development opportunities, and ensuring annual goals are met.

Develop and Write Processes, Procedures, and training materials in support of ISO 9001 and the Hussmann Quality Management System.  Provide Training and Support for all QMS Users.  Work with the software providers to resolve systemic issues in a timely manner.  Audit, verify and continuously improve compliance to QMS Processes, and quality procedures.  Actively promote and support plant QMS maturation efforts including participating in plant and supplier audits.

Formal Education Requirement:
Bachelor's degree required, Masters preferred.
15+ years total work experience in functions of Manufacturing, quality, or engineering. 7-10 years in manufacturing quality role. 5+ years of management experience.

Additional Information:  Knowledge in the application of quality assurance concepts, methods, and techniques is required.  Applied knowledge in DFMEA, APQP, PPAP is required. MS Office skills required. LSS, Refrigeration, NPI, ISO9001/14001, and Organizational Excellence experience are also preferred. Preferred certifications:  ISO 9001/14001 lead auditor, GB/BB certification, CQE or CQM/OE.  Qualified candidates must effectively communicate with all levels of Hussmann management, manufacturing teams, and customers, in both written and verbal forms.  Bi-lingual preference:  English/Spanish.  Mobility within work facilities including manufacturing sites is also required. Travel requirements up to 25%.
