Essential Job Functions:
- Partner with Technical Supervision to ensure training compliance and support operational needs
- Periodically review training materials to ensure completion, effectiveness, and quality, coordinating with the trainer in KS
- Review and update training tracking sheets based on departmental needs
- Make recommendations as to the progression and retention of employees
- Monitor workflow & adjust as necessary to meet company objectives
- Identify and correct gaps in training content and materials to both standardize methods and generate higher productivity, quality, and safety among staff
- Research new training supplies and materials that can enhance training procedures while providing value to employees
- Identify future training needs and create a curriculum to facilitate
- Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary
- Replace, adjust and/or repair faulty components
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting functions with the assistance of information in the form of written or verbal descriptions/diagrams
- Perform data input of required material into the system
- Delegate work to other techs to manage the daily workload
- Be a technical resource for new hires or interviews
- Perform quality inspections for all completed processes
- Read and interpret schematic diagrams and technical manuals
- Research and order parts required for individual repairs
- Provide feedback to supervisors of any observed trends or unusual failure conditions
- Miscellaneous daily tasks including quality control support and/or clean-up activities
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- At least two years related experience
- Experience in computer troubleshooting and repair, down to the subassembly level, including but not limited to the removal and replacement of hard drives, memory, modems, motherboards, etc.
- Basic working knowledge and understanding of Windows
- Previous trainer/supervisory experience desirable
- Must be able to think strategically & establish direction
- Effective communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- Ability to balance and coordinate workload for multiple projects
- Possess good organizational, decision-making, and logical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret parts diagrams and technical manuals
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to learn new applications and programs
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Working knowledge & efficiency using Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal & written skills
