What You’ll Get to Do:
  • Manages guidelines and expected minimum levels of performance for direct reports. Is dedicated to coaching team for improved performance to include identifying gaps in skills and addressing those gaps where necessary.
  • Provides accountabilities and objectives for each direct report that clearly outlines performance expectations. Updates and communicates enhancements to accountabilities and objectives as required.
  • Act as Channel Program liaison to reseller partners, vendor partners and Panasonic Connect of North America (PCoNA)
  • Act as first level escalation for program issues
  • Oversee and manage partner channel programs.  Effectively manage the program in general and be key escalation point as well as managing vendor partners providing resources for the program.  Management also includes providing analytical and ROI measurement data.
  • Effectively communicate to all sales the program details and act as point contact for the overall program.  This includes acting as escalation point for sales teams.
  • Work with Channel Marketing to develop successful channel message for the team and then determine the best utilization of resources to support that message.
  • In support of marketing, develop program deliverables to effectively communicate and promote the Channel Programs

Resource Management:

  • Must be able to simultaneously be involved in, and understand, multiple tasks and projects This demands knowing which HQ resources are necessary, and being able to mobilize the proper resources for task and project completion. Responsible for 1-2 employees as program management team with potential for additional direct reports

Communications:

  • Must be able to clearly articulate thoughts, ideas, plans and objectives at all levels within Panasonic as well as to executive level contacts within the channel partners. Strong written and oral presentation skills are needed so as to possess the ability to influence the ideas and actions of others.

What You'll Bring:

  • 5 plus years experience in the channel in sales and or marketing focus. Experience leading a team is a requirement, experience managing a direct report team is a plus.  Business degree or equivalent needed to understand the broad business environment. Specific industry experience and thorough knowledge also essential.  Needs to have 1-2 years marketing experience through education or experience.
  • Strong people skills.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Channel sales and major partners and distribution
    • Clear understanding of supply chain management
    • Channel Reseller Accounts
    • Strategic third party organizations that effect the mobile solutions and AV space
    • Good analytic skills
    • Very strong in knowledge of MS office tools
