Job Title: Business Application (SAP) Project Manager
Shift: Day Shift

Job Summary:

In this role, you will perform IT leadership to establish standardized business scheme and optimize business operation efficiency with enhanced business application utilization. Especially as Business Application SAP Project manager, you will work project management between PENA business/IT and PISCA/IBM to lead each advanced activity, such as SAP new function implementation, visualization improvement, system architecture optimization and system integration roadmap etc. You will also consider IT operation process improvement by collaborating with PISCA/IBM to adopt SOX audit required process and internal IT resource efficient operation.

Essential Duties:

IT project leadership

  • Collaborate with business managers and end-users for the effective use of IT
  • Promote ERP(SAP) system and integrated system such as MES implementations
  • Promote the usage and expansion of IT services, collaborate with global and local IT organizations.

IT Service Delivery

  • Manage the continuous optimizations of IT Systems services.
  • Continuously promote the high availability of service for critical customer applications.
  • Follow and promote PENA and US Company(Parent company) policies and procedures.
  • Skilled in the delivery of IT application and infrastructure services
  • Effectively manage IT services through the use of performance metrics and proven IT methodologies
  • Evaluate service delivery performance and take corrective actions with appropriate IT staff
  • Make recommendations for ongoing process improvement.

Business Scheme Setup with integration of SCM Business Relationships

  • Develop the business scheme between TESLA, Suppliers, and PENA.
  • Develop and maintain the customer IT service offering.
  • Develop support evidence for SOX Compliance audit.
  • Improve the working relationship between IT and Business users.

Financial Management

  • Develops Return On Investment analysis scenarios for new projects or new services
  • Provides leadership through insight and vision, leads by example
  • Assists in the development of job accountabilities and objectives.

Qualifications:  Requirements - Required and/or Preferred


  • Basic:  High school diploma or GED
  • Preferred:  Bachelor’s degree in business administration, technology management or a related degree, and/or equivalent related work experience.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Customer-focused and business sensitive attitude for applying effective manufacturing SCM IT solutions.
  • Must have hands-on technical experience with SAP - specifically within the modules most applicable to PENA's business, which includes 1) Sales/Distribution 2) Materials Management 3) Production Planning and 4) Finance/FICO
  • Promote high quality IT solutions  ERP, MES(Manufacturing Execution System)
  • Promote creative and innovative IT services
  • Identify, research, solve and prevent service quality problems
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with all levels of business and IT management
  • Ability to influence and persuade management for providing business appropriate IT solutions
  • Ability to create and present electronic and spoken presentations
  • Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing and delivering IT services in assembly and production manufacturing industry (international desirable)
  • Experience in managing complex project teams including outsource IT developer organizations.
  • Experience in business process re-engineering of systems application
  • Experience in the delivery of IT Services:
  • SAP ERP R3 Modules; Sales/Distribution, Materials Management, Production Planning, Finance
  • Infrastructure services
  • End User Services
  • Experience in managing budgets and financial expectations (ROI analysis)
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment.
