Job Summary:
Responsible for coordinating the implementation of existing Cost Savings Initiatives – Working with Idea Leaders, Departmental Owners, Group Leaders, Finance, etc. to ensure completion of Cost Savings Initiatives.  Participate in reporting-out of progress to departmental and executive management. 

Participate in working with internal groups to identify/define/valuate/implement additional Cost Savings/Revenue Growth Initiatives – Work cross-functionally with company-wide internal groups to identify potential Cost Savings Initiatives, help perform process and financial analysis of Initiatives’ feasibility and potential Savings/Revenue value (i.e. Business Case), present to departmental leaders and executive management to obtain Implementation Approval and provide status of Initiative’s implementation.

Requires detailed analysis of data and operational processes to make recommendations for business and Savings/Revenue value improvements.

Major Responsibilities:

Idea Implementation

  • Track progress of existing Cost Savings Initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Project Leaders and Departmental Owners to provide status updates on Initiative’s completion.
  • Assist Project Leaders to troubleshoot implementation roadblocks; facilitate cross-functional solutions; offer alternative .solutions/revisions to secure Initiative’s schedule and value
  • Performs overall (Cost Savings Initiatives) project data management and maintenance of data integrity.
  • Regularly report-out to departmental executives on progress of Cost Savings Initiatives in their organization.
  • Assist in regular report-out to Steering Committee (executive management) on status of all Cost Savings Initiatives.
  • Work with departments and Finance to ensure coordination with annual Business Planning activities.

New Cost Saving Initiatives Generation

  • Work cross-functionally with company-wide internal groups to assist in conducting in-depth analysis of business processes and financials to identify potential new Cost Savings/Revenue Growth Cost Savings Initiatives – Help define Cost Savings Initiatives’ scope, perform detailed process and financial analysis of Initiative’s feasibility and potential Savings/Revenue value as basis for Initiative’s Business Case.
  • Assist Project Leaders to troubleshoot roadblocks; facilitate cross-functional involvement; offer alternative solutions/approaches and development of Initiative’s implementation plans to ensure Initiative’s schedule and value are achievable.
  • Assist in preparation/presentation of Initiative’s Buisness Case to departmental leaders and Steering Committee (executive management) for Initiative’s Implementation Approval.
  • Assist in conducting group/multi-group level Cost Savings Initiatives Generation Workshops to facilitate generation of potential Cost Savings/Revenue Growth Cost Savings Initiatives.
  • Work with departments and Finance to ensure coordination with annual Business Planning activities.

Miscellaneous

  • Assist with ad hoc and regular reporting to departmental leaders, executive management, Finance, etc. on status of Cost Savings Initiatives.
  • Assist Cost Savings Team with evaluation of Cost Savings Initiatives’ feasibility and fiscal value; troubleshooting of roadblocks, cross-functional activities, conducting of group/multi-group level Cost Savings Initiatives Generation Workshops, etc.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
  • Knowledge of aircraft industry, IFE equipment, and experience dealing with cross-functional processes preferred.
  • Excellent decision making and complex problem solving skills based on functional and technical knowledge; solid planning and organizational skills. Able to “connect-the-dots” across functions to identify inefficiencies/opportunties. 
  • Ability to perform in-depth, detailed, analysis of variable factors while retaining the 'big picture'.
  • Practiced ability to work independently as well as in a cross-functional team environment to ensure project activity is accurate and on-time.
  • Strong aptitude for time management combined with the ability to multiplex across different tasks while tracking and maintaining issues.
  • Ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization from executives to staff members.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
  • Able to determine methods and procedures for new assignments; may provide guidance to other personnel.
  • Highly proficient with MS Office suite of software applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related field is preferred
  • 8 years of related experience, Graduate coursework desirable.
  • Knowledge of aircraft industry, PAC IFE equipment, and PAC cross-functional processes preferred
