What You’ll Get to Do:

Vertical Market and Sales Development:

  • Serve as the primary interface with the Higher Education and Enterprise end users and Panasonic.

  • Develop and maintain end user relationships in Higher Education and Enterprise market verticals in the assigned territory to identify new business opportunities.

  • Research, prospect, engage, and cultivate new business from existing strategic accounts as well as new unique type of end-user customers in which to grow overall market share.

  • Build long term sales pipeline and log, track, and report on pipeline progress monthly in SFDC.

  • Ensure continuity of the relationships with the end user accounts operating at the highest level in the accounts organizations and facilitate the executive level interfaces between the end users and Panasonic.

  • Utilize trade database services to identify early-stage projects and key decision makers in the Higher Ed and Enterprise market verticals.

  • Support and feed the assigned territory with leads and opportunities that reach across all Panasonic product lines in the Higher Education and Enterprise market verticals.

  • Manage qualified high value visibility end user leads.

  • Coordinate the required internal resources to close targeted larger and or strategic projects.

  • Collaborate with territory account managers in identifying, prospecting, and partnering on vertical end user communication, meetings, pipeline development, and sales closure. 

  • Other duties as assigned by the Senior Category Manager, Professional Audio.

Market Competitive Analysis:

  • Understand the competitive landscape in the Higher Education and Enterprise AV verticals

  • Track and report on win-loss of opportunity pipeline in salesforce.

  • Assist in collecting, analyzing, and disseminating key market news, customer data, and competitive information.

  • Promote the Panasonic Education and Enterprise AV Ecosystems on social media. 

Administration:

  • Effectively manage all administrative duties and reporting in timely manner. 

  • Including but not exclusive to Salesforce customer, pipeline and opportunity data maintenance, sales forecasting, and Product-Sales-Inventory PSI.

  • Additional reporting on activities, Education and Enterprise vertical news, technology, information, solution development, and various headquarter requests. 

  • Monitor and achieve all HQ required KPIs.

  • Manage and coordinate individual meetings, travel, and expenses.

Trade Show and Events:

  • Participate in vertical events and or trade shows to market company product, solutions, and services capabilities. 

  • Follow up on leads generated from trade shows and other events in a timely manner.

  • Assist in trade show event planning activities, focused on pre-show planning, and booth duties

What You'll Bring:

  • Strong combination of strategic, tactical, and creative talent, strong internal motivation, a bias for action and sense of urgency on project deadlines. 
  • Ability to develop  relationships, both external to Panasonic and internally. 
  • Polished professional with excitement and energy for higher education and enterprise presentation, communication and understanding, learning about adjacent vertical markets. 
  • Knowledge in the Professional AV industry is preferred; 
  • Passion to learn more about Professional Audio-Visual product categories and integrated solutions is mandatory.
  • Existing relationships in the Higher Education or Enterprise AV and IT space is preferred.

Education and Experience: 

  • 1 - 3 years experience of direct and indirect based business development and selling of integrated audio visual solutions and or unified communications to higher education and or enterprise market verticals.

  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role.

  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques including cold calls, prospecting and emails.

  • Track record of achieving sales quotas.

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar related field preferred. 

  • AVIXA CTS certification a plus, but not mandatory.

  • Self-motivated, resilient, can-do attitude to overcome obstacles and find resolution in sometimes difficult conditions. 

  • Excellent judgment and be able to work in a challenging matrix management environment. 

  • Able to navigate informal structures making work related contacts and collaborate with internal resources to accomplish company goals.

  • Strategic thinker who takes systematic approaches to solving problems to ensure customer satisfaction and achieving company goals.

  • Proven understanding and practice of pipeline management discipline.

Communications:

  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal required. 

  • Strong team building, interpersonal and project management skills required. 

  • Able to cultivate relationships of C Level individuals within strategic, high-value end-user customers.

  • Passionate company advocate with ability to negotiate at all levels of customer engagement.

  • Must have the ability to explain complex systems in a simple and easy-to-understand manner.

  • Skilled presenter who is comfortable with one-on-one or large group audiences.

Other Requirements: 

  • Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • CRM software including customer contact, sales pipeline, and opportunity data management Salesforce preferred.

  • Travel up to 50 percent of time, some weekend work, hours of work may vary due to business travel, customer availability and trade show involvement.
