Provides support with the daily activities of human resources, payroll, benefits and administration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Records employee information such as personal data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination data and reason.
Updates employee files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses. Assists in preparing updates and follows up and suspense reports as directed by immediate supervisor. Routes personnel information to corporate office for processing. Follows all documented procedures and direction from HR management.
Assist with monitoring of time keeping system and data entry for payroll.
Employee Benefit Plans (Health, Dental, Life, FMLA)
Assist with coordination of Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) notices and medical certification paperwork, i.e., distributing documents, tracking and posting in Human Resources Information System (HRIS) system. Assist with all employee Short and Long-Term Disability.
Distributes employees’ quarterly statements. Handles distribution of Distribution and Rollover checks. Assists employees with Hardship Withdrawals.
Employee Service Awards
Assist with the maintenance of the access database for Services Award. Generate Service Award documents and place order with respective vendors.
Employee Birthday Program
Assist with update and maintain access database for movie passes. Prepare documents for approval and place order for movie passes. Audit and reconcile inventory with payroll and accounting.
Assist with On Line E-verify (authorization to work in USA); Enters new hire information into HRIS system and Generates employee ID Badges. Maintains I-9 documents.
Prepares documentation for terminations. Maintains proper retention of I-9 forms.
Plans, coordinates conferences, meetings and other similar type events. May be required to lead a team to prepare and execute employee events.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six-months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in human resources or customer service is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS (essential function)
Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions. Ability to write clear correspondence such as employee postings, informational fliers, and memos. Ability to clearly explain company policies and complex regulatory requirements to co-workers in easy to understand language. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to outside interested parties and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS (essential function)
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY (essential function)
Must possess the ability to comprehend the Panasonic Code of Conduct and have strong desire to act within its guidelines especially with honesty, integrity, confidentiality, and ethical compliance. Must understand and act in a manner that minimizes a potential conflict of interest between a member of the Human Resources department and co-workers. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed and complex written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Familiar with employment practices, time and attendance procedures.
Strong interpersonal skills required to assist employees in resolving issues with company programs such as medical / dental plans.
Strong organizational skills. Must be a Self-starter. Ability to work independently.
Must be able to talk in front of small groups to present information.
Must be computer literate. Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, Access and Power Point.
Must be able to learn and maintain various aspects of the company’s Payroll / HRIS System.
