What You’ll Get to Do:

Reporting to the Amazon Group Sales Manager (GSM), the Amazon Sales & Merchandising Specialist will manage key sales functions for the Panasonic Consumer Appliances business– implementing, revising, and recommending promotions to set appropriate pricing structures and customer incentives, maintaining the catalog and submitting/resolving support cases in Vendor Central, while recommending best practices to maximize sales performance.  Additional responsibilities will include, as necessary, review, implementation, and modification of forecasting, customer service, and chargeback support processes.  This role will require interaction with the customer on an as-needed basis determined by the GSM. The ideal candidate is passionate about E-commerce and willing to learn best practices for success in a constantly evolving retail environment.

Promotions Management:

Recommend and revise promotion activity to support sales targets by evaluating and analyzing multiple courses of conduct based on a review of sales reporting and data insights.  Work with Merchandising teams and GSM to plan and execute promotions roadmap and recommend alternative pricing structures and customer incentives.  Input, monitor, and track promotions in Amazon Vendor Central (VC).  Manage CORF creation, maintain promotional road map and promotional checkbooks in MS Teams.

Catalog Management:

Regularly conduct independent evaluations of the sales platform to recommend best practices that would maximize product visibility and sales performance.  Manage new item setup and existing item updates.  Request and evaluate content changes with Marketing and Creative teams, including copy, images, videos and enhanced/A+ content, to enhance sales performance.  Execute new item Vine sampling program as needed. 

Forecast Support:

Review inventory and orders to determine recommended changes to sales forecasts.  Manage monthly review process of baseline sales forecasts, promotion/advertising lifts, and/or availability metrics impact.  Prepare/update model-level sales plans via internal forecasting system.  Support weekly business review meetings with Merchandising teams to identify opportunities and development of gap fill countermeasures as needed. 

Vendor Central Administration:

Submit and track Amazon VC support cases related to sales, marketing, merchandising or catalog issues.  Escalate priority cases to Vendor Manager and/or GSM as needed.  Develop and recommend best practices for handling and escalating Amazon VC support cases.

Other/Miscellaneous:

Coordinate and execute Born to Run POs and tracking in MS Teams. Coordinate reviews and Q&A response execution with Customer Service team.  Manage Andon cord and Product Safety issue resolution, working with Service and Merchandising teams as needed. Support pending weekly chargebacks tracking and resolution.  Review and evaluate these processes to determine priority and recommend a course of action.

 
What You’ll Bring:

Education & Experience:

  • BS / BA degree required
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Background in E-commerce (Amazon preferred)

  • Ability to multi-task and simultaneously manage deadlines

Other Requirements:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SAP, Power BI, Microsoft Teams
  • Experience working in Vendor Central; additional Seller Central experience a plus
