Essential Duties:
- AIAG Core Tools Application: Apply AIAG Core Tools, including but not limited to:
- Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP): Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute quality processes throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring proactive risk assessment and mitigation.
- Production Part Approval Process (PPAP): Implement PPAP to verify and validate product and process designs, ensuring they meet customer requirements and industry standards.
- Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA): Conduct FMEA to systematically assess potential failure modes, prioritize risks, and develop robust mitigation strategies.
- Measurement System Analysis (MSA): Perform MSA to evaluate measurement systems, ensuring accurate and reliable data for quality decisions.
- Statistical Process Control (SPC): Apply SPC techniques to monitor and control manufacturing processes, maintaining consistent product quality.
- Control Plans: Develop comprehensive control plans to ensure critical product and process characteristics are controlled and maintained.
- IATF 16949 Knowledge: Utilize your in-depth understanding of IATF 16949 standards to ensure quality management system compliance. Participate in audits and contribute to maintaining certification.
- Risk Management: Identify potential quality-related risks and implement effective risk mitigation strategies, leveraging your AIAG Core Tools expertise.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on data analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions derived from AIAG Core Tools.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and other departments to ensure AIAG Core Tools are seamlessly integrated into product development and manufacturing processes.
- Quality Data Analysis: Analyze quality data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance product quality.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of AIAG Core Tools implementation, audit findings, improvement actions, and compliance status.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
- To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a requirement for some roles at PENA and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Education:
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.

- IATF 16949 Knowledge: In-depth understanding of IATF 16949 standards and their application to ensure compliance.
- Risk Management: Proven experience in identifying and mitigating quality-related risks.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and develop effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams, senior management, and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:

About Us:
As part of Panasonic’s expansion strategy, it is now constructing a very large Li-ion battery factory near Kansas City, Kansas. In this new green-field factory, Panasonic will manufacture cylindrical lithium-ion cells for various electric vehicle makers. This role is for a full-time position in the new factory being built in Kansas.
