As the Manager of the Reliability(RAMS), you will report to the Director of Design Quality, Reliability & Testing. You will perform and conduct the reliability and safety analyses of commercial HVAC&R components, assemblies and systems (Systems and Krack Product, Core Case Products, MDS & Self-contained Platform Products, Specialty Platforms, Door Platforms, and support After-market and Store Connect products and services) using established methods and procedures to ensure product designs are in conformance with company, customer, and industry quality & reliability and safety standards. You will also provide technical assistance to new business development programs and support supplier quality and field investigations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead as a player-coach reliability team of 6 plus reliability engineers and extended teams (located in Chino CA, Monterrey MX, Bridgeton MO, and India)
  • Review contractual and certification requirements for reliability and safety implications
  • Review engineering designs and engineering changes to ensure designs are in conformance with reliability and safety requirements
  • You will conduct reliability analyses to support program requirements and deliverables. Analyses will include reliability predictions, failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), Failure Report Analysis Corrective Action System (FRACAS) and processes, Risk and Hazard Assessments, Accelerate Life Testing, and Weibull analyses.
  • You will lead the global failure review board process of the FRACAS process to read across organization key learning
  • You will conduct and coach safety analyses to support program requirements and deliverables. Analysis include fault tree analyses (FTA), Multiple Hazard Assessment (MHA) process, software and system safety analyses (SSA)
  • Identify certification and specification compliance methods for reliability and safety
  • Will determine and coordinates required testing to demonstrate compliance with reliability and safety requirements. (HALT, HAST, Demonstration testing, etc.)
  • Will review reliability programs and proposals submitted by potential vendors to ensure that manufacturing, engineering, and quality assurance processes support reliability and safety requirements and predictions
  • Provide analysis of field data for evaluation of reliability performance
  • Assist in the root cause failure investigation process
  • Present reliability and safety analyses to our customers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering and ten (10) years of relevant reliability, availability, maintainability and safety (RAMS) engineering and analyses experience or a Master's degree and eight (8) years of relevant experience
  • Six Sigma Black belt and ASQ CRE
  • HVAC&R Component knowledge
  • Experience of Reliability and System Safety discipline for mechanical and electronics commercial or consumer appliance platforms or components
  • Experience with ALT and HALT testing of electro-mechanical systems,
  • Experience with control and software validation and use case testing for robustness
  • You are a team player
  • Experience creating FMEA, FTA, and Reliability Predictions to support quality and reliability efforts
  • Experience with Reliasoft reliability analysis software, Minitab, Labview, PLC programming
  • You are required to be a US Citizen or current Green Card Holder
