I felt like I could grow as an individual, a thinker and a contributor. I knew that the experiences and knowledge I could gain from a well versed and innovative company would instill lifelong skills in me.How would you describe the employment experience? The employment experience has been incredible. Being able to wake up each morning and being able to do what I love, while maintaining great relationships with my team is rare to find. Challenged may arise, but it keeps me motivated, so I would not trade the experience. I’m excited to see what the future holds for me at Panasonic.What’s your favorite Panasonic moment? Speaking to my manager about the opportunity to transition from an intern to a full-time employee of the team. This was the highlight of my time at Panasonic. I worked diligently to get to this point, and with hard work, a strong work ethic and determination it shows that it paid off. All in all, no goal is impossible to achieve.Describe the career growth path you’ve taken at Panasonic.I started as a Marketing Intern back in October 2019. This was an influential and significant experience to my career journey. I formed strong work relationships with my colleagues and cross functional teams. Exciting, challenging, and fast-paced. Definitely being able to participate in a local Community Service Event with fellow interns, several months into my Panasonic journey. Not only did the event provide an excellent opportunity to collaborate and bond with fellow interns, but it also provided me insight into what makes Panasonic a strong organization; camaraderie, care, and teamwork.Describe the career growth path you’ve taken at Panasonic.I initially joined Panasonic as a Finance Intern in summer of 2019. After several months of cross-collaboration, I was then provided an opportunity to transition into a position with Internal Audit, before later becoming a full-time employee. I am extremely grateful for the opportunities and mentorships by the individuals that helped me to where I am now, and am proud to be a member of the Internal Audit team. Internal Audit is an essential value-add function to Panasonic as a whole, and has allowed me to identify process improvement opportunities, create insightful tools for interested parties, and collaborate with stakeholders across Panasonic to strengthen the organization. Whether it be with Panasonic’s outreach programs or the innovative technology they create to better the community and environment, Panasonic is always trying to give back in more ways than one. You are always making a difference here.How would you describe the employment experience? Working at Panasonic has been an amazing experience. Everyone here is always supportive and is devoted to cultivating your skills and abilities both professionally and personally. You will always be recognized and appreciated for your work and efforts which motivates you to do better every day. What’s your favorite Panasonic moment? I had an opportunity to be a guest auditor with our internal audit department and visit one of our Gigafactory in NV. This was a great experience as I was exposed to the audit function and toured and learned the aspects of a manufacturing company and how it ties to the work I am doing at an upper level in HQ. Describe the career growth path you’ve taken at Panasonic.I was fortunate enough to land an internship at Panasonic in the Fall of 2018 and have it extended throughout the spring. After 9 months, I was transitioned into a full-time employee into the PNA Consolidations team as an accountant. My values and goals aligned directly with Panasonic and their employees. The team I worked with during my internship was a huge part of my choice because they contributed significantly to my success at Panasonic. As a Panasonic employee, I feel very fortunate to be part of a diverse and inclusive environment. My job has given me room for growth and various opportunities apart from Account Management including business impact groups, volunteering, and travel experiences. It has allowed me to take ownership and given me guidance for my career path! What’s your favorite Panasonic moment? The opportunity to visit Japan has been one of my favorite moments thus far. Being able to explore and expand my knowledge on Panasonic’s values and background was eye-opening. The employees made my trip even more worth while by taking me to explore all the Panasonic facilities/museums as well as the city of Osaka. It was a once in lifetime opportunity that helped me visualize the important of the work we do which I am grateful for. Describe the career growth path you’ve taken at Panasonic.The start of my Panasonic career started as a Business Development Intern in 2018. Since then, I have gained a vast amount of knowledge in sales, product management and marketing. Panasonic has allowed me to choose my path and follow my passion in sales and led me to become a full-time Account Manager for the Energy Sales Group. Being on the council for the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion group has also provided an additional path for me that challenges me to keep raising the bar and continue setting high standards in the workplace.

Peachtree, GAWhat is your favorite part about your job? The diversity in technology. We have a lot of different technologies, and we have a lot of solutions to those technologies. Coming from appliances, the technology was very simple so there was not a lot to dive into. Here, there are so many technologies anywhere from RF to Power Supplies to Digital – it has something for everyone.What do you think it takes to be successful at Panasonic? I think there’s a lot of opportunities to be very successful here. You need to be outspoken and willing to learn. Take leadership roles everywhere you are, don’t just wait for someone to tell you what to do.What makes Panasonic a great place to work? I think it’s a great place to work because they really care about their employees. They really show that and there are no gimmicks. There’s a lot of transparency with HR and the people who work here. There are a lot of exciting technologies to work on. The people and the amount of knowledge here is great. There is just so much knowledge here.
Reno,NV, US What is your favorite part about your job? I love knowing we are giving meaningful careers with a company that truly values their employees. What is a typical day like for you at Panasonic? There is no such thing as a typical day here. We have, however, created an atmosphere where you can just walk in, apply, interview and have a job offer all in the day! We may also have a hiring event in the office or out of state or even giving an information brief at a Military facility. What led you to your current role at Panasonic? I worked for the Army National Guard as a civilian contractor, my role was to assist Military members in finding civilian jobs. I would send resumes to Panasonic. I was contacted by Panasonic and asked if I would be interested in a recruiting job. I took a leap of faith and said yes. It has been the best career decision I have ever made. What are some of the challenges you enjoy most? I enjoy the fast paced environment we work in. There is always a lot to do. I love that we have created processes where there were none before. Things can change in an afternoon - we may get new headcount numbers and without skipping a beat be prepared to fill those. The office motto is “Challenge Accepted”! Describe the relationships you've built with your co-workers? I love my coworkers! I have a great deal of respect for each of them. I would hope that anyone in the office could come to me for anything.
Newark, NJWhat makes Panasonic a great place to work?Panasonic is at the forefront of some of the greatest technological changes that are happening in our world. Mobility, autonomous vehicles, changes in food retailing and more. It’s exciting to work somewhere with a vision that is so relevant to where our society is going!What do you think it takes to be successful at Panasonic?Earlier in my career I had the opportunity to work with Stephen Covey, as he was writing his book called ‘The 8th Habit’. In short, ‘The 8th Habit’ says that the most successful people “find their voice, and then help other find theirs.” This is perfect for Panasonic today; we are finding a new voice as the company is changing and growing, and we all have the opportunity to help customers, other employees, and others find their voices. Take charge and find your voice!What is a typical day like for you at Panasonic?Fast paced, different every day, energizing. I have the best of two worlds… ½ of my time I am focused on the Hussmann business, and the other ½ on the broader PNA. I love the variety!What are some of the challenges at work you enjoy the most?Panasonic North America is changing as we speak. To me, the more change the better. I love helping others create the future!What is your favorite part about your job?The great variety and getting to work with people who are really passionate about the company that they work for. Six months later, I was given the opportunity to transition into the Cybersecurity team, which eventually let me to the full-time position I have today. Newark, NJ What is your favorite part about your job?Getting to know the width and depth of businesses both from global and regional perspectives as the Director of Corporate Planning. One day, we’re discussing Newark’s local community engagement, another day I’m on my way to Japan to discuss strategies for factory operation in Japan, truly helping peoples to pursue “A Better Life, A Better World”.What advice would you give to someone applying to a job in your department?Be open-minded and flexible. Try to understand technological/industry trends both from global and regional perspectives. It’s essential to have a “global” mind, understanding the global trends of the industry and internal capabilities of Panasonic’s global perspective, while also finding a way to fit operations into local market conditions.What’s your favorite Panasonic moment?Being a part of 100 years old company. Not many companies can survive in this hyper-competitive industry. I’m prideful to be a part of this long-lasting history and an active contributor in making further future progress. One day, I found a 30-year-old Panasonic pencil sharpener sitting at a local gymnastic club, still fully functional, allowing children and staff to write properly. The next day, traveling on an airplane, I found a Panasonic-made IFE (In-Flight Entertainment system). Every aspect of your life is somehow being impacted by Panasonic technology. It all started with the company’s great founder, Konosuke Matsushita; a visionary leader looking far beyond what ordinary people can see with a humble mind set.What are some of the challenges you enjoy most? The global communication gaps. Gaps are everywhere but finding areas to improve and educate both sides (Japan, US, or elsewhere) can bring the right context to each side.A little bit about Keita…

- Started Panasonic career as a Product Manager in Japan, working with Olympic marketing teams (2006 Torino, 2008 Beijing, 2010 Vancouver).
- Began working in the US in 2012; From Marketing to Brand Management to leading a CES project as Project Leader.
- Moved to Corporate Planning in 2016, currently leading Planning and Business Development as a PNA Director. Assumed the project lead role for the newly established Smart Mobility Office.
